On March 10, 2011 Author/Illustrator, Ted Lewin visited the students at Erdenhiem Elementary School. During his visit he took some time to answer a few questions. Ted Lewin said that he was born with a pencil in his hand and dreamed of nothing else but becoming an artist. While in Art school he became a professional wrestler along with his brother Don. He tells all about his career in his auto biographical book, I was a Teenage Professional Wrestler. Mr. Lewin’s first book was a picture book titled, Tiger Trek. Along with his wife Betsy Lewin, also an author/illustrator, they traveled the world looking for inspiration for their books. One of his favorite places was Uganda. It was their adventures in Uganda that inspired the book, Gorilla Walk.
